Every RedM resource starts with a fxmanifest.lua. For Red Dead Redemption 2 it must declare game 'rdr3' and acknowledge the rdr3_warning notice; this tool adds both automatically.
How to use the tool
Choose fx_version (adamant by default) and enable lua54 if your scripts use Lua 5.4.
Fill in the resource name, author, description and version.
List the client, server and shared scripts (one path or pattern per line, e.g. client/*.lua).
Add ui_page, files and dependencies if needed, then copy or download the file into the resource folder.
Example output
The rdr3_warning line is the standard text RedM requires for resources, reproduced as-is from CitizenFX documentation. Then add "ensure your_resource_name" to your server.cfg.
fx_version 'adamant'
game 'rdr3'
rdr3_warning 'I acknowledge that this is a prerelease build of RedM, and I am aware my resources *will* become incompatible once RedM ships.'
lua54 'yes'
client_scripts {
'client/*.lua',
}Frequently asked questions
- Why is rdr3_warning required?
- For RedM, a resource declaring game 'rdr3' must also acknowledge this message, otherwise it fails to load. The tool always inserts it.
- Can I reuse a FiveM fxmanifest for RedM?
- Only the structure: replace game 'gta5' with game 'rdr3' and add rdr3_warning. Game natives differ, so the Lua code itself must be adapted to RedM.
