ATLAS is a world split into cells (a grid); each cell is a ShooterGameServer process with its ServerX/ServerY coordinates, Port, QueryPort and SeamlessIP address. This tool generates the line for one cell; repeat it for each cell, with the grid defined in ServerGridEditor.
How to use the tool
Define your grid with ServerGridEditor (official GrapeshotGames repository).
For one cell, enter ServerX, ServerY, a unique save name (AltSaveDirectoryName) and its ports.
Enter SeamlessIP (the address other cells use to reach this one), admin password and slots.
Copy the generated file into the server folder and run it; repeat with other coordinates for each cell.
Before you go live
The parameter names come from a community guide (Nerds and Scoundrels); default ports are not officially documented here: 5761 and 57561 are examples. They must match those in the ServerGrid.json generated by ServerGridEditor. ATLAS is an older game, so check the state of community servers before investing time.
Frequently asked questions
- How many processes do I need to run?
- One ShooterGameServer per grid cell, each with its own ports and AltSaveDirectoryName; a 1x1 grid needs only one.
- Why -NoBattlEye?
- The guide consulted appends it to the end of the command; untick it if you want BattlEye enabled.
