EconomyOverride.json lets you change item prices and availability at SCUM traders. The format is strict: every value must be a quoted string, numbers included. The editor takes care of that for you.
How to use the tool
Start the server once: it generates SCUM/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/EconomyOverride.json (the file may be named differently in some versions: check your folder).
Import that file into the editor.
Adjust the global settings, then add a trader (e.g. A_0_Armory) and its items with their tradeable-code.
Use -1 to restore the default price; can-be-purchased is default, true or false.
Download the file, put it in the config folder while the server is stopped, then restart.
Trader and item IDs
A trader ID combines an outpost sector (A_0, B_4, C_2, Z_3) and a type (Armory, BoatShop, Mechanic, Trader), e.g. B_4_Mechanic. Recent builds may add more: keep those from your generated file. The tradeable-code is the blueprint name (e.g. BP_Weapon_AK47); the in-game #ListItems command helps find it.
- delta-price: -1 = random varying price; 0 or more = frozen price
- can-be-purchased: default, true or false
Frequently asked questions
- Why is my EconomyOverride.json not loaded?
- The most common cause is a number without quotes. This editor exports every value as a string; also check the file name in SCUM/Saved/Config/WindowsServer and edit while the server is stopped.
- How do I stop a trader selling an item?
- Add the item under the trader with can-be-purchased set to false.
