SCUM stores its settings in SCUM/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/ServerSettings.ini, with scum.* keys split into [General], [World], [Respawn] and [Features] sections. This tool only writes the keys you fill in; the others keep the game's value.
How to use the tool
Start the server once, then stop it: it generates its own full ServerSettings.ini (the key list changes with each update).
Import that file into the tool (optional); known keys are loaded.
Fill in the keys you want; leave empty to keep the game default.
Copy only the relevant lines into your ServerSettings.ini (server stopped).
Restart the server.
Value conventions
Booleans are True/False; decimal multipliers (1.000000 = stock); -1 often means “game default”; HH:MM:SS for durations. Check each key in the file generated by your version: keys change (several were removed in 2026). Player count is set on the command line (-MaxPlayers=).
Frequently asked questions
- Where is ServerSettings.ini on a Linux server?
- SCUM only ships a Windows server: the path stays SCUM/Saved/Config/WindowsServer/ServerSettings.ini (through Wine/Proton if hosted on Linux).
- Why is my server name overwritten at start?
- Some hosting panels rewrite scum.ServerName, scum.WelcomeMessage, etc. on every start: change them in the panel (Startup tab) rather than in the file.
