The Evrima server reads Game.ini in TheIsle/Saved/Config/WindowsServer (or LinuxServer), created on first start. Settings live in [/Script/TheIsle.TIGameSession] and Steam ID lists in [/Script/TheIsle.TIGameStateBase]. A misspelled section or key is silently ignored.
How to use the tool
Start the server once to create the config folder, then stop it.
Fill in the name, map, player count and, if needed, the password.
Set RCON (long password), queue, growth, AI and day/night cycle, then add the Steam IDs.
Replace Game.ini (server stopped) with the downloaded file and restart.
Reliability of the values
Tripwire publishes no official documentation for these keys: they come from host guides and the proposed values are examples, not guaranteed defaults. Older templates put the RCON keys in [/Script/Engine.Game]: the correct location is [/Script/TheIsle.TIGameSession]. Standard RCON clients (Source, mcrcon) do not work, an Evrima-compatible client is needed. AllowedClasses: one line per species, no lines means all are allowed.
Frequently asked questions
- Why does my server not appear in the list?
- Evrima needs an [EpicOnlineServices] block (DedicatedServerClientId / ClientSecret) in Engine.ini: without valid values the server may not be listed. Use those from your official template or host; they are not provided here.
- Why install the “evrima” branch?
- Without -beta evrima, SteamCMD installs the obsolete Legacy version (app 412680).
