A The Isle: Evrima server is installed with SteamCMD (app 412680) and started with TheIsleServer.exe plus arguments. This tool builds a ready-to-use script: update, start and restart after exit.
How to use the tool
Enter the install folder and the SteamCMD path.
Fill in the server name, ports, player count and options.
Copy or download the script, then run it (right-click > Run as administrator on Windows, or chmod +x on Linux).
Open the server ports in the firewall and on your router, then test the connection.
Good to know
Evrima installs with app_update 412680 -beta evrima (otherwise SteamCMD installs the old Legacy version). Executables: TheIsleServer.exe (Windows), ./TheIsleServer.sh (Linux). The ?Port=7777 argument and -log come from host guides. Ports: 7777/UDP (game and query), 8888/TCP (RCON), 10000/TCP (queue).
Frequently asked questions
- Should I update on every start?
- Recommended: client and server must run the same version, and a SteamCMD update with nothing new is quick. Untick the option to disable it.
- Are my settings sent anywhere?
- No. Everything is generated in your browser and only a local copy (localStorage) remembers your values; you can view and erase it on the Data page.
