Paper servers generate bukkit.yml, spigot.yml, config/paper-global.yml and config/paper-world-defaults.yml on first start. This editor analyzes the file you paste, flags common YAML mistakes and lets you change the most useful keys with help and the documented default value.
How to use the tool
Pick the file to edit from the list.
Paste your file's content (or import it). Nothing is sent to a server.
Fix the reported problems (tabs, indentation, duplicate keys).
Change the known keys in the table, then download the file and replace it on the stopped server.
Tool limitations
The analysis relies on indentation: it is not a full YAML validator. Only a few common keys have help (Paper defaults come from the PaperMC documentation; Bukkit and Spigot: usual values, to confirm in your generated file, which remains the reference for your version). After editing, restart the server; some Paper settings can also be reloaded with /paper reload, but a restart is safest. Keep a copy before overwriting a file.

- Where are these files?
- bukkit.yml and spigot.yml are in the server root; paper-global.yml and paper-world-defaults.yml are in the config/ folder (recent Paper). They are created on first start.
- Why is a tab flagged?
- YAML forbids tabs for indentation: use spaces only (usually 2 per level), otherwise the plugin or server cannot read the file.
