Documentation: Arma 3 mission structure checker

Browser-side checker for the structure of an Arma 3 multiplayer mission: mission.sqm at the root, description.ext, initialization scripts, folder/PBO name in MissionName.Map format, duplicates and case clashes, absolute paths, stray files (.bak, Thumbs.db, .git). Only file names are analysed; nothing is uploaded.

Open the tool

An Arma 3 mission PBO must contain mission.sqm at its root and be named like MissionName.Map (e.g. co40_Escape.Altis). Paste your file list (one path per line): the tool flags the most common structure errors before packing.

How to use the tool

  1. Enter the mission folder or PBO name (without .pbo), e.g. co40_Escape.Altis.

  2. Paste the file list (one relative path per line; e.g. from “dir /s /b” or “find . -type f”).

  3. Fix the errors (red) first, then the warnings (orange).

  4. Pack the folder with the PBO tool of your choice and put the .pbo in mpmissions.

What is (and isn't) checked

The tool only reads file names: it does not check mission.sqm syntax or the contents of description.ext or SQF scripts. Known map names (Altis, Stratis, Malden, Tanoa, Enoch/Livonia, VR) are only indicative; mod maps are accepted.

Frequently asked questions

Why doesn't my PBO show up in the mission list?
Common causes: mission.sqm in a subfolder (the PBO was built one level too high), a name without the .Map suffix, or a file outside the mpmissions folder.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No: you only paste text, analysed in your browser and saved locally.
