How to use Bedrock allowlist.json generator?

On a Bedrock server, allow-list=true restricts access to the players listed in allowlist.json. Each entry is an object with name (gamertag), xuid (optional: according to third-party guides it is filled in on the first connection) and ignoresPlayerLimit. This tool writes the file without JSON syntax errors.

  1. Enter one player per line: “Gamertag” or “Gamertag, XUID”.

  2. Enable ignoresPlayerLimit only for players who must join even when the server is full.

  3. Download allowlist.json and put it next to bedrock_server (server stopped, or use the allowlist reload command).

  4. Check that allow-list=true in server.properties, then test the connection with a listed account.
