Open the tool

A Squad server is configured in SquadGame/ServerConfig: Server.cfg (name, slots, rules), Admins.cfg (admins), Rcon.cfg (RCON) and the rotation files. This tool generates a complete Server.cfg in Key=Value format, one setting per line.

How to use the tool

  1. Fill in the server name (ServerName), MaxPlayers and, if needed, reserved slots and the queue.

  2. Choose the rotation mode (MapRotationMode): LevelList, LayerList, LayerList_Vote or their randomized variants.

  3. Set team changes, automatic TK kick/ban and match timings.

  4. Download Server.cfg and copy it to SquadGame/ServerConfig (server stopped), then restart.

Rotation modes

  • LevelList — maps from LevelRotation.cfg in order (mode and factions chosen by the game)
  • LayerList — specific layers from LayerRotation.cfg (map, mode, factions)
  • …_Randomized — same in random order; LayerList_Vote — player vote

Frequently asked questions

Where is Server.cfg?
In the server folder: SquadGame/ServerConfig/Server.cfg, next to Admins.cfg and Rcon.cfg.
Are the keys and defaults official?
Not verified against official documentation (unreachable when written): they come from consistent hosting-provider references. Compare them with the Server.cfg shipped with your server version.
