GTA V Enhanced is supported by FiveM through a platform separate from FiveM Legacy, with its own server files (cfx-server). This tool generates a server.cfg that follows the changes documented by Cfx.re for Enhanced. Other GTA V multiplayer platforms exist, but their Enhanced compatibility is not verified here.
How to use the tool
Get a free license key from the Cfx.re portal and paste it into sv_licenseKey.
Fill in name, port (a single TCP and a single UDP endpoint), slots and sv_syncTickRate.
Tick "sv_enforceGameBuild 1" only to run the base game without DLC (otherwise the latest build loads).
Copy the file into your server-data folder and run cfx-server with "+exec server.cfg".
What changes on Enhanced
Per the official Cfx.re documentation (docs.fivem.net/docs/developers/legacy-vs-enhanced): only the latest game build is supported and loaded by default; sv_enforceGameBuild 1 loads the base game; endpoint_add_tcp/udp accept one endpoint each; OneSync big mode is the only mode (P2P sync is replaced by client-server); sv_syncTickRate defaults to 60 (1 to 120); RCON is off by default and uses port 29200; sv_devMode true is required for developer mode; Asset Escrow is not yet implemented. The old onesync_enableBeyond, sv_enhancedHostSupport and sv_protectServerEntities settings have no effect. Files are named cfx-server_win_x64 / cfx-server-linux_x64 and the executable is cfx-server.exe.
endpoint_add_tcp "0.0.0.0:30120"
endpoint_add_udp "0.0.0.0:30120"
sv_licenseKey "changeme"
sv_syncTickRate 60
ensure mapmanagerFrequently asked questions
- Why is there no OneSync setting?
- On Enhanced, OneSync big mode is the only mode per the Cfx.re documentation, so FiveM Legacy's "set onesync" line is unnecessary.
- Can I use my FiveM Legacy resources?
- Often, but not always: Mono is replaced by .NET (.NET 10 SDK for developers), Asset Escrow resources do not work yet and key-value DB files need migration. Test each resource.
