Documentation: enshrouded_server.json generator

enshrouded_server.json generator for a Enshrouded dedicated server: name, slotCount, queryPort, userGroups, voiceChatMode, gameSettingsPreset. The file is generated locally in your browser: no data is sent to a server and your settings stay in your browser's local storage.

Open the tool

enshrouded_server.json configures your Enshrouded server. This tool builds a valid file from a form, with live preview, copy, download and sensible starting values.

How to use the tool

  1. Fill in the form fields (starting values are already sensible).

  2. Check the live preview next to or below the form.

  3. Click Download (or Copy) to get enshrouded_server.json.

  4. Stop the server, back up the old file, put the new one in <server-dir>/, then restart.

Good to know

Starting values come from official documentation or cross-checked sources; they may change with any game update. Re-check the generated file after a major update.

Always stop the server before editing its files (some games rewrite them on shutdown) and keep a copy of the old file.

Recent build format: a single queryPort (15637 UDP); depending on the version a gamePort (15636) may still exist. slotCount: 16 maximum. The Admin/Friend/Guest groups use the permissions of the common template; replace the ChangeMe passwords. gameSettings is not written here: use the Custom difficulty tool with the Custom preset.
