Windows Pro with Hyper-VFuncom specifies a Windows machine (Pro edition) with Hyper-V enabled.

Memory: about 20 GBThe need depends on how many servers the battlegroup runs. Swap is experimental and lets you go below 20 GB.

Self-hosting tokenGenerate the token on the Dune account page (account.duneawakening.com); it is requested during setup.

Install the tool from SteamIn the Steam library, enable the Tools filter and install “Dune: Awakening Self-Hosted Server”. Do not move the original .bat.

Run initial-setupRun battlegroup.bat as administrator and choose initial-setup: the VM and battlegroup are created.

Open the portsForward 7777-7810/UDP and 31982/TCP to the machine (if you change Port or IGWPort, adapt the forwarding).

Backups and settingsBack up the database with the battlegroup stopped. Settings go in the UserSettings files or the battlegroup spec; those changed in the Battlegroup Director do not persist.
