Open the tool

An Unturned server's Commands.dat holds its basic settings, one command per line (“//” for comments). It lives in Servers/<name>/Server/. This tool builds it without sending anything to a server.

How to use the tool

  1. Enter the server folder name (the one used after +InternetServer/).

  2. Fill in the displayed name, map, slot count and port (27015 by default).

  3. Choose the mode, perspective, PvE or not, and set your SteamID64 as Owner.

  4. Download Commands.dat into Servers/<name>/Server/ then start the server.

Limits and points to verify

The Name, Map, MaxPlayers, Owner, Cheats, Password, PvE, Perspective (First, Third, Both, Vehicle) and Port commands come from Smartly Dressed Games' official documentation; Mode (Easy, Normal, Hard) is cited by third-party guides. Value-less commands (Cheats, PvE) are written alone on their line. Advanced settings (loot, zombies, decay…) are not in Commands.dat but in the server's configuration file (see the Config.json editor). A Steam GSLT token is required to appear in the public list.

Frequently asked questions

How do I give myself admin rights?
Add the line “Owner <SteamID64>”; the ID can also be listed in Adminlist.dat. Enable “Cheats” to use cheat commands as an administrator.
Why isn't my server in the list?
Start it with +InternetServer (not +LanServer), set a GSLT token in the configuration, and open the chosen UDP port and the next one (27015 and 27016 by default).
