Documentation: The Front ServerConfig_.ini generator

ServerConfig_.ini editor ([BaseServerConfig] section) for a The Front dedicated server: ServerName, ServerTitle, ServerPassword, WelcomeMessage, ServerAdminAccounts (Steam64), QueueThreshold, ServerFightModeType, IsCanChat, UseACE, SaveWorldInterval and custom lines. Import an existing file; the keys come from hosting guides, the full list is in The Front Manager.

Open the tool

The ServerConfig_.ini file in the TheFrontManager folder tunes the game (name, passwords, admins, rates). SteamCMD does not create it: generate it with the game's The Front Manager, then adapt it. This tool writes the main keys; add the others (rates, multipliers) as custom lines.

How to use the tool

  1. If possible, first generate a base file with The Front Manager (Create dedicated server) then import it here.

  2. Fill in the name, the password (short, ASCII) and the admins' Steam64 IDs separated by semicolons.

  3. Keep anti-cheat (UseACE) enabled and set the world save interval in seconds.

  4. Download ServerConfig_.ini, put it in TheFrontManager, then restart the server (no hot reload).

Reliability of the keys

Key names and values (e.g. IsCanChat=true, UseACE=true, SaveWorldInterval=300) come from hosting guides (LOW.MS, xgamingserver), not official documentation; ServerFightModeType values are not documented here, pick them in The Front Manager. Rates and multipliers (names ending in …Rate / …Ratio) default to 1.0 according to one guide.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my file ignored?
It must be in the server's TheFrontManager folder and the server must be restarted: the manager doesn't hot-reload. A password that is too long or non-ASCII is also reported as problematic.
Where are the other settings (rates, NPCs, combat)?
In The Front Manager's tabs (advanced settings, survival, NPCs, combat); generate the file from the Manager then import it here to tweak it.
