Open the tool

The tf/cfg/server.cfg file is read at every map change by a TF2 server (srcds, app 232250). This tool builds it from a form: identity, network, round rules and TF2-specific options (crits, spread).

How to use the tool

  1. Enter the server name, the RCON password and, if needed, a join password.

  2. Set mp_timelimit, mp_winlimit, mp_maxrounds and team balancing.

  3. Enable or disable crits and fixed weapon spread to suit your play style.

  4. Download server.cfg, put it in tf/cfg/ and change map or restart.

What goes on the launch line

The slot count (+maxplayers), start map, sv_pure and GSLT token (+sv_setsteamaccount) are set on the launch line: use the “TF2 launch command” tool. The values in this form are common settings, to adjust for your community.
