The S&box dedicated server is installed and updated with SteamCMD (app ID 1892930, anonymous login). This tool produces a script ready to schedule.
How to use the tool
Install SteamCMD and enter its folder.
Pick Windows or Linux and, if needed, the staging branch (may not be playable for everyone).
Download the script and run it with the server stopped.
Files land by default in steamapps/common/sbox dedicated server inside the SteamCMD folder.
Generated command (Linux)
On Linux, the .NET Runtime must be installed to run the server (requirement from the official documentation).

- Do I need a Steam account to install the server?
- No: the official documentation uses "+login anonymous".
- What does "validate" do?
- SteamCMD checks file integrity and re-downloads missing or corrupted files; slower but safer.
