Documentation: Hell Let Loose server checklist

Interactive checklist to set up a Hell Let Loose server. According to the sources consulted, the server files are only distributed to partner hosting providers (no public SteamCMD): the tool covers choosing a host, panel settings (name, passwords, queue), RCON, map rotation, admins and testing. Progress is saved locally.

Open the tool

Hell Let Loose is played on servers rented from approved hosts: to our knowledge (community, unofficial sources) there is no dedicated server downloadable through SteamCMD. This checklist helps you not miss a step between renting and opening to the public.

How to use the tool

  1. Choose an approved host and the capacity (slots) you want; check the status in official announcements.

  2. Tick the steps in order: panel settings, passwords, RCON, rotation, admins.

  3. Test the connection and RCON from outside before opening the server.

  4. Copy the checklist (Copy button) to share it with your admin team.

What is (and isn't) confirmed

No official source could be consulted: the absence of a self-hosted server, RCON over TCP on the game port +2 and the panel files (settings, rotation, admins, VIP) come from hosting guides and community discussions. Check with your host and Team17 / Expression Games announcements.

Frequently asked questions

Can I self-host Hell Let Loose?
According to community and host discussions, no: the server files are only supplied to partner hosts. This is not confirmed by an official source here.
What is RCON and which port does it use?
RCON is remote administration access (tools like CRCON). At the hosts consulted it is TCP on the game port + 2 (7777 → 7779); the address and password are in your panel.
