The Farming Simulator 25 dedicated server officially runs on Windows only. This tool generates the three common operating scripts, to schedule with Task Scheduler.
How to use the tool
Pick the script: firewall, restart or backup.
Check the paths (install, Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025, backup folder) and ports.
Download the .bat file; the firewall script must run as administrator.
Schedule restart and backup in Windows Task Scheduler.
Example generated rule
Default ports: 10823 TCP+UDP for the game, 8080 (HTTP) and 8443 (HTTPS) for the web interface (third-party sources: IONOS, ZAP-Hosting). The "web interface local only" option limits 8080/8443 to the local subnet; do not expose the web interface to the Internet unprotected.

- Can I host the server on Linux?
- Not officially: only Windows is supported. WINE or Docker setups exist but are unsupported and may break after an update.
- What does the backup script save?
- It copies the dedicated_server folder from Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025 (configuration and savegames) into a dated subfolder. Stop the server first to avoid copying files mid-write.
