In CS2 the dedicated server is installed with app 730 and reads game/csgo/cfg/server.cfg. The game mode is chosen on the launch line (+game_type, +game_mode). This tool generates the file and repeats the command in its header.
How to use the tool
Enter the name, the RCON password, then pick the mode (casual, competitive, wingman, deathmatch), the map and the slot count.
Adjust round rules: duration, freeze time, starting money, friendly fire, bots.
Download server.cfg and put it in game/csgo/cfg/ of your installation.
Start with the command in the header (from the game/ folder, with your GSLT token); add +exec server.cfg if the file is not loaded.
Modes and launch values
Rule defaults are those of classic competitive; check them on your build, as Valve tweaks them with updates. The mode, map, slots and port fields only feed the header.
- casual: +game_type 0 +game_mode 0
- competitive: +game_type 0 +game_mode 1
- wingman: +game_type 0 +game_mode 2 (confirmed by a single community source)
- deathmatch: +game_type 1 +game_mode 2
