Documentation: Game.ini generator

Game.ini generator for a VEIN dedicated server (Vein/Saved/Config/WindowsServer or LinuxServer): ServerDescription, SuperAdminSteamIDs, AdminSteamIDs, WhitelistedPlayers and Discord webhooks. Section and key names come from host guides, not the developer. Everything stays in your browser.

Open the tool

VEIN is configured in Game.ini (Vein/Saved/Config/WindowsServer or LinuxServer folder, create it if missing): only add the lines you want to change. Admins are SteamID64s and there is no admin password. Name, password, player count and ports are set on the launch/host side.

How to use the tool

  1. Enter the description shown in the server browser.

  2. Add your super-admin and admin SteamID64s, one per line.

  3. Optional: enable the whitelist and Discord chat webhooks.

  4. Save the file to Vein/Saved/Config/.../Game.ini with the server stopped, then restart.

Reliability of the keys

The developer's hosting documentation (Ramjet) confirms the file location and ports; the section/key names listed here (VeinGameSession, VeinGameStateBase, ServerSettings) come from host guides and are not listed by the developer. As VEIN is in early access they may change: a wrong name is simply ignored.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I set the name, password and player count?
These settings are not in the official documentation we consulted; at hosts, the panel rewrites them on every start. Check Ramjet's documentation or the server help for your version.
How do I add several admins?
One line per SteamID64, prefixed with + (appended to the list): the tool does this for you. Restart after editing.
