Documentation: ServerSettings.ini and Engine.ini generator

Configuration generator for a Conan Exiles dedicated server: ServerSettings.ini (admin password, XP and harvest rates, durability, PvP), Engine.ini (server name, Port 7777, GameServerQueryPort 27015) and RCON (TCP port 25575). Files live in ConanSandbox/Saved/Config/WindowsServer.

Open the tool

A Conan Exiles server is configured in three files in ConanSandbox/Saved/Config/WindowsServer: ServerSettings.ini (rules and rates), Engine.ini (name, ports) and Game.ini (RCON). This tool outputs all three blocks at once. Key names come from Funcom and community guides; the default values of multipliers are not confirmed by an official source.

How to use the tool

  1. Enter the name, passwords and player count.

  2. Check the ports (7777 game, 27015 query) and enable RCON if needed (TCP 25575).

  3. Set rates, durability, PvP and any extra lines.

  4. Stop the server, paste each block into the file named in its header, then restart (changes only apply on restart).

Points to verify

The sources consulted disagree on some locations: player count is given in ServerSettings.ini by one guide and as a -MaxPlayers argument by Funcom (the tool uses the argument), and RCON is described in a [RconPlugin] section of Game.ini by a third-party guide. If an option is ignored, compare with the documentation for your game version.

Frequently asked questions

Where are the configuration files?
In ConanSandbox/Saved/Config/WindowsServer (ServerSettings.ini, Engine.ini, Game.ini), including for a Linux server running under Wine.
My changes are ignored after a restart.
Edit the files with the server stopped, check the [ServerSettings] section and the exact spelling of the keys, then restart.
